Hey my chicas! grey skies out, winter sun in. This is your easy, mix-and-match boho jewellery guide for a quick escape, light layers, gemstone colour, and studs that work from daytime wandering to rooftop dinners. Scroll to the bottom for my top recommendations!
Whether you’re chasing winter sun in Morocco, Mexico, the canaries or just sneaking off for a weekend somewhere warm, we’ve got you covered. Wherever your passport’s taking you, a boho jewellery capsule is your secret weapon.
For me, this winter escape meant Morocco, sunshine, pattern, colour, calm, and the perfect excuse to show how a few key pieces can help you slip into that laid back or vibrant holiday vibe.
Come along with me, let’s chase winter sun, stack some wellness inspired gemstones, and see how the capsule works IRL.

Stop 1: Essaouira - salty air, rugged coast, easy stacks
If you shy away from the hustle-bustle and crave salt air and wide horizons, the Atlantic breeze, whitewashed medina, and those famous blue fishing boats bobbing in the harbour, Essaouira is right up your street. It’s a windsurfer's dream and perfect for an adventurous spirit! Perfect for minimal, beach-to-brunch jewellery.
Our base was a villa beyond the buzz: light-drenched courtyards and salty-air starts. The local medina has wide lanes (less hectic than marrakesh), artisan stalls, woodwork, silver smiths, and the best almond pastries after a sandy walk. Afternoons were horse riding on the beach and buggy driving through dunes.
How I styled my jewellery for Essaouira (zero faff, max glow)
Essaouira is all about movement, wind, waves, wandering. keep stacks lightweight, mixable, and water-adjacent (think dry fast, no heavy pieces).

There’s something so soothing about apatite jewellery and amazonite jewellery, soft turquoise and sea-foam blues that just belong in your holiday wardrobe. Pair them with sandy toes, salty hair, and a white dress and you’re instantly in holiday-glow territory.

The Quatrefoil, the little detail I always pack for winter sun
The quatrefoil has been part of our jewellery collections for a while, a soft, four-petalled motif that’s appeared in design for centuries, from Moroccan zellige patterns to gothic architecture. I’ve always loved it for its balance and symbolism, four petals, four directions, four seasons, a quiet reminder of harmony and flow.
There’s also something deeply bohemian about it. It’s feminine but structured, traditional yet a little wanderlusty. Wearing these quatrefoil earrings among the souks and terracotta walls just feels right, a small symbol of heritage and beauty.

Stop 2: Marrakesh – colour, candlelight & boho glamour
A city of pattern and perfume, where every doorway is a work of art and the air hums with the scent of orange blossom, spice and mint tea. The minute you arrive, the colours hit different, deep terracotta walls, jewel-bright textiles, brass lanterns catching the light.
This is where your boho jewellery capsule turns up the volume. Think luxurious jewel tones, layered necklaces, statement earrings, and a little golden shimmer at every turn.

How I styled my jewellery for Marrakesh (more colour, more glow)
Marrakesh calls for layering, the richer, the better. This is where I lean into colour, texture, and that “why wear one when you can wear five?” mindset. The light here just begs for jewellery that glows, moves and sparkles. If you know me, you'll know I love an excuse to turn up the volume on colour and splash on some multi-pieces, every bracelet and necklace adding its own little note of joy.
Think vibrant jewel tones and candy brights. Turquoise next to Pink Tourmaline, Lapis Lazuli beside Orange Agate, a flicker of Peridot catching the light as you sip a mint tea on a rooftop. That's exactly the boho layered energy I adore.
You can’t go wrong if it makes you feel alive and a little bit fabulous.
If you’re a multi-colour jewellery lover, a “the-more-the-better” soul, a woman after my own heart, this is your moment. Go bold, go bright, and go grab your favourite pieces here.

Betty's final thoughts & top recommendations
The vibe: rooftop at sunset, mint tea or a mocktail in hand, candles flickering, bracelets chiming softly as you talk and laugh. Marrakesh dressing is confident but comfortable, it’s about letting your personality (and your jewellery) do the talking.
Style takeaway: When the sun goes down, go bolder. Layer up, play with colour, mix metals and stones. Let every piece tell a story. Gemstone stacks and layered necklaces made for colour-lovers and cocktail-hour queens.
