Now that you’ve (hopefully) picked out your destination, we’re sure that you’re getting more and more excited as you count down the days - we know we will be! You don’t want to miss out and waste a single second of it, so we’re going to be giving you some of our best holiday tips and advice so that you can make the most out of your well-deserved time away.
After all, travelling can be tricky and unpredictable. If anything in the last 2 years has taught us, it’s taught us how to be prepared in any and every situation. Hopefully it won’t have to come to that, but if anything - it’s always better to be safe than sorry!
As we said before, we’re sure you’re excited so we won’t waste any more time… Let’s get right into it!
Watch the weather
Whether you’ve booked a sunny, relaxing beach trip or a busy, bustling city break, the weather can make all the difference to your holiday experience. The last thing you want is to anticipate temperatures around mid-thirties and bright sunshine, only to experience wind and showers when you get there… A change in weather can often be spontaneous and unpredictable - you don’t want to be caught out without some warmer clothes!
We’re not suggesting that you take a fleece and raincoat to sunny Spain, but watch the weather and pack accordingly - which brings us to our next point!
Perfect your packing
We recommend writing out a list of all the things you need to bring, crossing them off as you pack them. Different locations will require vastly different packing lists, whether that is sunscreen and insect repellent, or gloves and snow boots! Don’t forget to leave space for your jewellery, of course…
Buy travel insurance
The pandemic has affected travelling in the long term in more ways than one. It is extremely useful as it can help cover disruptions on your trip, something we’re seeing more and more recently in airports across the country.
Whatever the circumstance may be, if it’s a flight delayed or cancelled, or someone gets injured or is too ill to travel, rest assured you will be covered, at least to an extent. Unfortunately, it’s one of the less exciting things to plan but it’s one of the more essential aspects.
